Hey there! Welcome to “MD Hopping”, where I share honest, parent-to-parent reflections on what Maryland outings are actually like.
I’m a mom of three, and while I love exploring Maryland with my family, I also know that not every experience is worth the time, energy, or stress, especially on a school night.
This space isn’t a guidebook or a list of “best things to do.”
It’s where I talk about:
- how outings really felt
- what surprised us
- what worked (and what didn’t)
- and whether I’d do it again as a parent

One of my superpowers is finding the best experiences for families in the DMV area and beyond!
Through my other blog Deyewa, I share places to visit and things to do so families can plan great days and adventures. But along the way, I realized something was missing: real, honest parent perspectives that go beyond logistics, highlights, and perfect photos.
That’s why I started MDHopping, a space for thoughtful, parent-to-parent reflections on what these experiences are actually like, how they feel, and whether they’re worth the time and energy for families in real life.
At the heart of both pages is the same goal: to help families get out of the house, make memories, and enjoy this season with their kids, because they’re only little for so long, and these moments matter more than we realize.
Meet my Family
Hubby
Hubby and I have been married for 11 years now wowww and to be honest it’s been one of the best decisions ever. First being giving my life to God. He is the most amazing man I could ever have asked for and is the best dad to our 3 kids. He loves to have fun although you may not find him on all our explorations haha.
My mini me
She is similar to me in so many ways which is why we butt heads a lot lol. She is typically the most well behaved and typically makes right choices. She is super helpful especially with her little siblings. Her favorite things to do are travel and find new places to explore.
Twin Girl
Have you seen those memes about second born kids? Yep, this girl is all of that and more lol. She is the girl of my set of twins and came out 30mins before her brother. She has a huge personality and has no issues showing it or making her opinions known. Not sure where she got her personality from cause it’s certainly not me. She is the sweetest thing and when she wants to help out, she pours out her heart to do so.
Twin Boy
My boy twin and last born. He is super sweet and is opposite of his opinionated twin sister. He is my restless and always moving around child. He loves to keep things tidy and in their rightful place. He has a heart of gold, but patience is definitely not his friend haha
